NOTE FROM DIRECTOR (about working with Lindsay Goranson)
"I directed Lindsay Goranson as one of the leads in the feature film PLAGUE TOWN. From day one of rehearsals it was obvious that Lindsay would be bringing much more to the character and indeed the whole project than I could have expected. She raised what could have been an admittedly rather thin character into a real person. We enjoyed a beautiful working relationship as we developed her dialog and mannerisms to the point they needed to be. Her willingness to push herself as far as she could as an actress and devote herself entirely to the project was evident early on but never more than the night we had to film her death scene. Without going into great anecdotal detail it was simply the most invigorating night of shoot as we shot her devastating performance. Everyone on the crew that night was truly impressed with her absolute conviction, the energy she put into getting it exactly right and making it as emotionally convincing as possible. Even the film’s producer who never complemented any of the actors during the shoot was deeply impressed and not only told me so but broke his cardinal rule by giving Lindsay his sincerest complements and utmost respect...as she lay in the dirt covered in sticky blood. Essentially what could have been a throwaway horror movie role for an actress was approached as if it were a major studio production without the slightest concern for the challenges of long hours, a demanding schedule, heavy make up and even daring stunt work. And I know also that her fellow cast members had nothing but great things to say about working with Lindsay as she is such a giving performer, far from being concerned with stealing the spotlight from her co-stars she will do everything she can as an actress to elevate a scene. I can say without question that Lindsay was an inspiration to me and the rest of the PLAGUE TOWN team with her superb performance, her professional attitude and her selfless approach to her craft. I look forward to working with her again as soon as the opportunity arises."
"A film that evokes the genuine feeling of a nightmare captured on celluloid." --Fangoria
